Apostolic Elders Foundations for Kingdom Leadership

Apostolic Elders Foundations for Kingdom Leadership

19 min  •  1 lectures

This course provides a technical and spiritual foundation for elders serving in small Black Apostolic churches. It moves beyond the title of elder to examine the specific responsibilities of the role. The teaching establishes that apostolic authority is delegated, not autonomous, flowing from Christ through the apostolic office to the elder. Students will learn the biblical basis for the laying on of hands and the importance of spiritual succession in maintaining church order. The curriculum emphasizes that an elder functions as a representative of the bishop’s vision and a steward of the congregation's spiritual health, balancing upward accountability with downward oversight. The training covers five essential dimensions of ministry: pastoral care, governance, financial stewardship, discipleship, and conflict resolution. Specific instruction is provided on shepherding the flock through presence and listening, as well as maintaining administrative integrity through transparent financial systems and clear budgeting. The course outlines a multiplication strategy based on 2 Timothy 2:2 to identify and develop emerging leaders within the local church context. Additionally, it provides a framework for resolving personal and doctrinal conflicts using Matthew 18 principles of restoration. The program concludes with a 90-day action plan designed to integrate these concepts into daily leadership, focusing on regular prayer lists, pastoral alignment, and intentional discipleship relationships.
