Your first hour of generation is free. After that it is Premium, monthly or yearly, or pay as you go.
How long does it take?
In SUN's published test, about 24 seconds per minute of audio, so a 15-minute episode in about six minutes. On Genesis Vega it starts playing while it is still being made.
How long can an episode be?
You set it in the composer's Duration menu before it generates. A subject too big for one episode works better as an Audio Course, split into lessons.
Can it use my own material?
Yes. Attach PDFs, documents, slides, notes or images, and the episode is built around them.
Which languages does it speak?
SUN's narrators speak American and British English, Spanish, Hindi and Chinese. Leave the language on Auto to match your text, or write the prompt in one language and ask for the episode in another.
How is SUN different from NotebookLM?
NotebookLM, now called Gemini Notebook, makes an Audio Overview from the sources you add to a notebook, in its own AI voices.
