SPEAKER_1: Let's start with some policy news out of OpenAI. They've been making some notable moves on that front recently. SPEAKER_2: Right, so OpenAI endorsed two pieces of legislation. One is the Kids Online Safety Act, and the other is Illinois SB 315, which is an AI safety bill that requires transparency and incident reporting from AI companies. SPEAKER_1: And there was an international partnership too, wasn't there? SPEAKER_2: Yes, they partnered with Malta's AI for All initiative. The deal gives citizens a free year of ChatGPT Plus if they complete an AI literacy course through the University of Malta. It's a pretty interesting model for public AI education. SPEAKER_1: And on the acquisition side? SPEAKER_2: OpenAI acquired Weights dot gg, a startup that offered AI tools to create clones of people's voices. So they're expanding their capabilities in that space.
